Tunisia's leading mobile phone operator, TUNISIANA, which became Ooredoo on April 24, 2014, is the Tunisian subsidiary of the Ooredoo Group. A key player in the new technologies sector, Tunisiana has relied on rapid technical progress to develop adapted, innovative and quality services and relies on its impeccable customer service to gain the trust of its subscribers. Since its commercial launch on December 27, 2002, TUNISIANA had upset the landscape of new technologies in Tunisia by offering a range of innovative offers and services, in compliance with international standards.
In July 2012, Tunisiana launched 3G services for more than 6.6 million subscribers and covering 48% of the population. In 2014, the network was extended to nearly 90% of the population. The license issued by the State allows Tunisiana to deploy an HSPA+ network on both 900Mhz and 2100 Mhz ensuring wider coverage covering the regions of interior and high definition "HD wide band AMR" voice quality. The network allows speeds of up to 42 Mbps to ensure the best service to its subscribers.
While advocating change in continuity, the new brand Ooredoo was launched on April 24, 2014. The new brand aims to guarantee all the achievements of TUNISIANA while enriching it with the new vision and values of the Group:
For the support, trust, respect for others and responsibility that Ooredoo embodies;
For the progress to which Ooredoo aspires and the continuous search for improvement and difference.
Ooredoo has an efficient technical network, covering 99% of the Tunisian population; and a service bringing together a vast network of shops spread throughout the national territory.
Ooredoo, the citizen operator, is committed to Tunisian society through several citizen actions, which cover sponsorship, patronage and sponsorship of various sporting, cultural, social, economic activities and events, etc...
